You own, manage, design, or build websites and are interested in understanding best practices, tools, and how-tos to provide more value to clients when it comes to "digital accessibility."
You are a business owner or nonprofit organization and want to make your site more accessible to visitors, prospects, and customers. Or maybe you are not aware of what barriers that your website may have that might be preventing about 20% of the population or one in five of your web visitors from engaging with your website.
You've may or may not have been hearing more about Web Accessibility, ADA, Section 508, the W3C, WCAG 2.0 and 2.1, and achieving A, AA, or AAA conformance. What are these and why are they important?
That is the purpose of this Metro ATL Accessibility Meetup. A network of individuals come together to learn, share and assist one other on the journey of making our digital world accessible as well as making our workplace inclusive.
This will serve as a place to network, share information and resources about web accessibility. This is an online forum as well as an informational resource for local meetups regarding to this topic, and events, presentations, videos, articles and more.
Big thanks to all members who join this meetup. We're working to make our digital world as well as our community inclusive as possible.
